Ejaculation Control

Ejaculation control is harder than just learning how to strengthen the kegel muscle; it also requires change on a deeper level of thought. How a man’s biology responds to a sexual event is determined by his beliefs and thoughts about the event. So in order to master ejaculation control a man needs to work on the mental as well as the physical.

But first let’s just explain the physical methods designed at ejaculation control. Most men get into the ejaculation control exercises because they want to become multiple orgasmic. A worthy goal yes, but for a majority of men (1 in 4 to be precise) such exercises are targeted at preventing premature ejaculation.

The kegel muscle is located between the penis and the anus and is the muscle responsible for stopping the flow of urine half way. If your flex hard you can also stop the flow of seamen from ejaculating, it’s just like a muscle anywhere else on your body, the more you flex it and work it, the bigger it grows. If you do 3 sets of 30 kegel flexes a day then over time you will see a big change in your ejaculation control.

But there are also mental exercises available that increase your inner confidence which in turn makes your biology stronger to your will. Basically any exercise dedicated to increasing self esteem or establishing more positive beliefs will help you. This is why I believe self help to be a great industry, and I also believe that if you dedicate yourself to becoming a more fulfilled man within then a lot of your premature ejaculation problems will also fade away.

So just one last tip, whenever you have an inner insecurity, always look to how you are living your life overall, and the answer will usually be obvious.

Valuation Reports

Posted in Thomas on August 14th, 2010 by Seth Workman

Image : http://www.flickr.com

One of the great bamboozles created for the investment public is the creation of valuation. The broker, financial planner or stock analyst says this stock is undervalued or the market in general is overvalued.

What is even more confusing is the analyst at stock company “A” says a certain stock is overvalued while the analyst at another brokerage firm says the same stock is undervalued. How can that be when each one is working with the same information? Each analyst is right – for him, but there is only one correct answer. The computation, no matter how it was arrived at, will be proven if the price of the stock rises or falls per the prediction. Beautiful multiple page color slick reports are prepared for investors who believe what has been written and gamble (I did not say invest) their money on the outcome. Corporations pay tens of thousands of dollars for deep analytical reports on which their executives rely to make multimillion dollar decisions.

It is less than a 50/50 chance because many times a stock will go sideways, neither up nor down. Reputations of analysts are made on the outcome. A few are very good, but a very wise investor will always trade with an exit strategy to protect capital. Analysts examine P/E ratios (Price/Earnings), cash flow, industry performance of the company sector, general market direction, world conditions and technical analysis for guidance. Economists are particularly fond of Greek formulas, many of which have become famous such as the Black Scholes formula for option analysis. Nobel prizes have been awarded for formulas and theories only later to have been proven wrong. There are formulas such as Tobin’s Q that have proven accurate over the years that predict actual market value based on corporate wealth.

It measures the ratio of market value of a company to the replacement cost of its assets. It is better adapted to the general market then individual companies, but is slow moving. It is subject to judgment by each analyst. It still comes down to the fact that investing (call it trading if you wish and many call it gambling) is not a science, but an art. There are few great (rich) artists. Most of the very rich did their valuation analysis and then were bold enough to act on it. The old saying, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” holds true for stock selection, but is phrased somewhat differently.

“Valuation is in the mind of the investor.” When an investor receives a report from any analyst his concern should be with the analyst. Many of the reports sent to customers are merely a compilation of information put together by a college student intern. They are factual, but should be cautiously used for investment decisions. Brokers are not qualified to give valuation reports. Any stock or market valuation report must always be accepted with caution.

How Do Digital Cameras Work?

Posted in Thomas on August 13th, 2010 by Seth Workman

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Digital cameras work differently from film cameras because they capture light onto imaging arrays or chips as they are commonly referred to. These chips contain CCD’s or ‘charge coupled devices’.

Charge coupled devices emit a charge when they come in to contact with light. As a result they turn this light information into digital binary information in the processing part of the camera. ‘Binary’ is computer speak for zeroes and ones in lots of lovely different combinations.

Pixels is short for picture elements. A mega pixel is equal to one million pixels. The more pixels you have the greater the recording ability of the camera. For instance, if you have a 10 mega pixel camera you have 10 million pixels for image capture. You cannot rely just on pixel count for quality. The other factors that come into this equation are the specification of the lens that is built into the camera body as well as the capability of the imaging arrays.

There is still a lingering debate about the aesthetics of the image quality of a digital photo when compared to a film photo. Some practitioners argue that the physical capture of light onto film through a chemical process as opposed to an electronic one makes the difference. The electronic version – the digital camera – is turning light into information and therefore changing it from its essential state. It is a process of transformation.

Aesthetic and metaphysical arguments aside, digital cameras today produce great results whilst making photography, image processing and sharing accessible to everyone no matter what their budget.

Bed Bugs!

Posted in Thomas on August 12th, 2010 by Seth Workman

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Tell the truth. You thought those bites in the middle of the night were little love nibbles from your partner and, expecting some early morning delight, you languidly rolled over to a slumbering lump of flesh. But the biting continued. You sat up, turned on the nightstand lamp and threw back the covers (cue the “Psycho” shower scene music) to discover numerous red, swollen welts on your legs, thighs, and tummy.

“Bed bugs!” you screamed, and your partner rolled over and mumbled, “Not now, honey”. No? Not exactly? That scenario may be a little over the top, but bed bugs havemade a dramatic comeback after having been all but eliminated in North America. Infestations are popping up everywhere: from high-end hotels to flop houses, from one-bedroom apartments to mansions, from New York City subway cars and benches to the Atlanta Marta Transit System. What gives? Why are they back?

One word can explain it – actually two words: international travel. The dollar’s decline in value has made travel to the US much more affordable to people everywhere. Bed bugs hitch rides on travelers’ clothing and luggage. Hotel guests unpack, and voila! The Olympics this summer in Beijing will be a rip-roaring time for global bed bug distribution.

The sole food of bed bugs is the blood of warm-blooded animals, and humans are the preferred host. They hide in cracks and crevices and are a very hardy lot. Because it usually requires multiple visits, bed bug treatments by professional exterminators are very expensive. Can you eliminate bed bugs yourself? Sure you can. There are a number of pesticides available, including some very effective eco-friendly formulations. Arm yourself with preparation and application knowledge and be thorough when you treat. And the next time you travel, first thing, check the hotel bed for blood spots or the actual bugs around the seams and tufts of the mattress and box springs. If you find evidence, ask for another room and check it out too before unpacking.

If you have bed bugs but don’t want to pay exorbitant fees to an exterminator, why not treat yourself? Go to http://www.youdoitpestcontrol.com for treatment instruction, products, and expert advice. We also carry products for roaches, ants, spiders, wasps, rodents and many more aggravating and possibly dangerous pests.

Thomas Jefferson Died Broke; Is Our Nation Going to End Up the Same Way?

Posted in Thomas on August 9th, 2010 by Seth Workman

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Most all Americans know that Thomas Jefferson was a great man, a thinking man, but so many people do not know he died broke. A good book to read on the subject is; Saving Monticello, as it describes the Levy Family who moved into the Estate after Thomas Jefferson died and restored it the mansion and landscaping too.

This brings me to another topic of conversation and purely intellectual only, not trying to make a point one way or the other. If Thomas Jefferson died broke and owing money and bankrupt then one ought to ask; Was he good with money? Did he envision something grander than he could afford? And if so would we be wise to follow all of his words in regard to our nation?

In other words is the utopian environment he built for himself unaffordable by his then standards and costs. And to that point is his concept of a perfect country more divine than is actually possible then or now? And if so should we be re-considering what our politicians of our current day are adding in the way of costs to this on-going perfect Utopian concept of America?

Should we have a reality check on all this? In other words can we afford Free Health Care to everyone and all the services and infrastructure with our current and near future assets or will we end up spending America into oblivion?

No need to answer or debate. Chew on that thought for a while and consider the next period and future generations as we pass the golden baton to them and depart. Think on this in 2006, philosophically of course, nothing more.

Thomas Hardy

Posted in Thomas on August 2nd, 2010 by Seth Workman

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Thomas Hardy is quite familiar with people worldwide for his great works he wrote. He is also one of my favorite writers that I admire so much. I love most of his works, especially this novel named Tess of the D’Urbervilles.

Tess of the D’Urbervilles is one of Thomas Hardy’s masterpieces. Thomas hardy, a son of a building contractor, was born in 1840 in a small town Dorset, in southwestern England.

When he was a boy, he often went to church with his family and was educated in a local Sunday school. He memorized all the services as a boy, and this knowledge underlies the frequent references to religion in his works. As a student, Hardy was not very good at studying, but he was a good reader because he read all books he could get in his home. At the age of sixteen, he gave up his education and became an architect which was the reason why his works are so organized. He is one of the relatively few well-known English writers who did not have a higher education while Shakespeare and Dickens are the other two. He continued to read various books written by Latin and English authors and also taught himself Greek in the way that he would arise early in the morning and study for an hour or two before leaving for work.

In 1862 Hardy left the architects office. When he was 22, he left Dorset for London. In London, he worked as an architect. He also studied French, visited art galleries and the great London exposition, and continued his course of reading. During that period, he wrote the first of his poems to survive. In 1867 he returned to Dorset. He temporarily stopped writing poetry and made his first attempt at prose fiction.

By 1868 he had completed his first novel: “The Poor Man and the Lady” which, though it was rejected, convinced him that he should continue his efforts at novel-writing. This year was the most crucial year for Hardy, because in this year, except he wrote his first novel that I have stated above, he also did his last work as an architect, and met the girl he was to marry.

I started my enthusiasm for writing with the reading of the works of Thomas hardy which would have effect on me in my whole life long.

"A Wealth of Family" by Thomas Brooks: Book Review

A Wealth of Family

by Thomas Brooks

Alpha Multimedia, Inc. (2006)

ISBN 0977462935

Reviewed by Paige Lovitt for Reader Views (6/06)

“A Wealth of Family” has something to be enjoyed or learned by people from all walks of life, no matter what your gender, socio-economic background or culture. This is a fantastic book. It centers on Brooks upbringing as an adopted black men who wanted to find his roots. I found it difficult to write this review because his story touched me in so many ways, it was hard for me to narrow down which area I enjoyed the greatest or which part of his life experiences taught me the most. In spite of our differences (gender, race, upbringing) I learned a lot about myself as I read. I admire his ability to see the positive learning experiences that come from experiencing negative situations.

Brooks was raised by a very protective, divorced black woman. They had to struggle financially. He had close extended family in his life and a wonderful male role model. In his youth, he learned that he was adopted. His birth mother was a white woman and his father was an African from Kenya. Brooks developed an interest in finding his birth family so that he could learn about his roots.

Throughout his education, Brooks had to deal with racism and poverty. He experienced racism from his friends and teachers. He attended a predominantly white school. Some of his friends would make racist comments based on ignorance without realizing that their beliefs were wrong. Brooks chose to get his revenge by excelling in academics and athletics. Then he had to deal with black-on-black prejudice by being told that he was “acting white” by his black peers.

Brooks was the first in his family to attend college. This was a whole new learning experience for him. He had to deal with the paradox of trying to show everyone that black people can excel at everything and then being accused of being boastful and arrogant when he would succeed.

After Brooks completed his education, he was contacted by his birth mother. Through her, he is able to meet his siblings in England and contact his father’s family in Kenya. After a great deal of effort, he is able to meet his birth father and extended family in Kenya. Brooks is able to connect his adoptive family, his English family and his African family. Now he truly knows his roots.

What I really enjoyed about this book is that the story did not end when he met his mother. He continues on and teaches us about the how much more his life was enriched by being able to combine his family from their different cultures.

I highly recommend this book to be used in African-American studies classes and in Cultural Counseling classes. I think that it would be great to be read in areas of underprivileged youth. Brooks showed that he could overcome all of the hardships in his life and he is actively involved in making a difference in the lives of others.

Brooks writes about how slavery has robbed African Americans of their history and culture. This often leads them to think that they are inferior. Because of his experiences he developed a perspective of himself as a “world citizen, not limited by race, religion, nationality or political ideology.” If everyone could develop this view of themselves, there would be an end to racism and we would have world peace.
